What’s the truth about Trump’s ‘big secret’ and the new ‘Russian propaganda’ strategy

President Donald Trump has yet to release his tax returns, but his advisers are telling the public that they have no problem with the president paying $40 million in taxes on the back end.

In an interview with CNN on Tuesday, White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said, “The president pays his taxes.”

“If you want to know what President Trump pays in taxes, you can go to the president’s tax returns,” Sanders said.

“If you look at the president on his returns, you’ll see that he pays more than $40,000 in taxes.”

Sanders also said Trump’s campaign had not disclosed his taxes to the IRS as required by law.

“The fact is the president has not disclosed any of the taxes that he paid, and that is a clear violation of the tax laws,” she said.

The IRS says it is aware of Trump’s tax situation, but would not comment further.

Sanders said the White House would release a statement regarding the issue “when the IRS is able to do so.”
